In a vineyard at the foot of the Niagara Escarpment in Greenleaf, exists a place where friends gather to share wine, stories and laughter.
LedgeStone is an embodiment of the change in direction that is presented to each of us, significant or insignificant. It is creating a story, memorable and distinct.
The vineyard and tasting room is located in Greenleaf, Wisconsin was established in 1999 by two passionate wine lovers. It sits on a 15 acre property with 10 acres of planted vines and a beautiful tasting room and winery. In 2017, winemakers Adam Magnuson and Katrina Cegledi began to write their chapter in LedgeStone's history by purchasing the property from Tim & Sara Abel.
LedgeStone Vineyards was forged through hard work, love and passion rooted in family and wine.
The tasting room offers a variety of options for the wine lover and wine explorer. The approach of the staff and winemakers is entirely focused on sharing, whether it's wine, knowledge about viticulture, winemaking or the wonderful things that accompany the great libation.
About the Winemakers
“A man travels the world over, searching for what he needs, and returns home to find it.” - George Moore
Katrina and Adam met studying abroad in Newcastle, Australia. Adam is a native of Green Bay, while Katrina's roots begin in Cleveland, Ohio. The sequence of events that led to LedgeStone are serendipitous and wonderful - perhaps if you ask when you stop in the tasting room they will share their love story.
They started in the wine & cheese making business as founders of Wine & Whey, located in Denver, Colorado. In 2015, they sold all of their possessions and decided to travel. The goal was simple: learn to make world class wine from the best winemakers in the world.
Over the last 2 years, they have traveled and worked in New Zealand’s Marlborough Region, Oregon’s Willamette Valley and Australia’s Margaret River making a plethora of different wines, learning as much as they could along the way. Both Adam and Katrina are Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 3 certified - comparable to sommelier training focusing on winemaking.
Follow their story as they return home and begin the next chapter in their lives; love, marriage and family.
